At tonight’s show we had two first time crew, guest host Brendan Beiser and technical director Tim Dickman. Our regular host, Ken Hegan, of course had recently moved to Toronto and our regular technical director, Michael Brooks, was ironically also in Toronto, working on a project. Considering that we had two new crew to the Celluloid Social Club, the show went off without a flaw, except for the competition for eye-balls we had from the Canucks hockey game!
We screened a strong line up of award winning short films from the past year, including Birthdays and Other Traumas, Going For It, Daingerfield, The Legend of Jacques Le’Nards, and Regarding Sarah. We also showed a record five trailers including A Year Minus a Day, Everything’s Gone Green, Crossing, Personal Growth, and Smile of April.
