Film Racing

"Film Racing is dedicated to inspiring and challenging creative minds. We strive to develop exciting and intriguing competitions that will allow filmmakers to explore their artistic drive. And ultimately create unique, inventive films for all to see."

The Film Racing Tour returned to Vancouver on July 17, 2009. Local filmmakers were challenged to create an original short film (4 minutes max) in just 24 hours from 10 pm Friday, July 17th to 10 pm Saturday, July 18th, based on the following assignment:

41 teams came out to compete in the 2009 race. 34 teams completed their films and got them in on time. 4 teams were late with their submissions. 3 teams were unable to complete their films. The 38 completed films were screened for the public on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Fifth Avenue Cinemas.
